Education

Practical education for AI-era information work.

KIA's education program is built by working practitioners and is tool-agnostic. We teach principles and practices that hold across platforms, then show them at work in real tools without selling any of them.

Overview

The program follows the golden thread

The program follows the golden thread, from structured content through semantics to systems intelligent tools can use. It is in pilot; schedule, pricing, and enrollment are being finalized.

Meeting people where they are

We start in the language practitioners already use

We deliberately do not lead with knowledge graphs or semantic theory, even though that is where the throughline ends. Most professionals arrive from a specific role and a real problem. We start in their language and on ground they recognize, then open the path toward semantics and AI-era practice. The first credential reflects that choice.

Structure

Everyone starts with a shared foundation, then chooses a track

Foundation: Kinetic Information Behavior. What kinetic information is, how human-AI coherence works in practice, the three pillars, and how the lifecycle plays out in real organizations.

Content

Structured authoring and component content, content operations and workflow, multi-channel assembly and delivery.

Data

Information architecture, data and content modeling, metadata strategy and governance, findability.

Semantics

Taxonomies and controlled vocabularies, ontology design, knowledge graphs for AI systems.

Integration

Advanced work bringing the pillars together: agentic content workflows, retrieval-augmented systems, orchestration.

Our approach

Principles first, practice always

Tool-agnostic

Principles first. Tools appear as examples, never as the lesson.

Hands-on

You build real things and leave with portfolio work.

Learning by contribution

Coursework can contribute to shared KIA resources.

Strict vendor neutrality

Guest practitioners teach from experience. No product pitches.

Certification

The certification path

We start where most professionals already are, then expand. The first credential is the Content Management Professional: a practical, platform-agnostic foundation in content modeling, implementation patterns, workflow, and governance.

Additional credentials

Additional credentials in semantics, content experience, and content operations are planned. Sequence and names are being finalized against the charter.

First module

A focused introduction to kinetic information behavior

The first module introduces kinetic information behavior and the human-AI coherence model, and walks through one worked example end to end.

Kinetic Information Behavior

Short lessons, a guided exercise, and a discussion prompt designed to finish in a focused week, leaving you with one small thing you built.
